The Drinks & The Dinner
THE DRINKS
Storytelling is an established component of The Drinks. The message behind a story is being told by an 'expert' or an experienced entrepreneur. A trend in society or a story is shared of how a business concept originated. A route to market and all the hiccups and challenges that were involved along the way are shared in all openness.
The Drinks is first and foremost a convivial get-together with charming, authentic entrepreneurial people. A relaxed occasion to network informally, make and maintain contact and 'en passant' to share knowledge and experience.
The idea of Storytelling is to inspire and share lessons learned. Our experience so far is that the story provides lots of interesting material for conversations over these Drinks later.
THE DINNER @THEKITCHENTABLE
THE DINNER is actually the same as THE DRINKS, besides the fact that we sit around the 'Kitchentable'. Which makes things even more informal and interactive. Dinner is served like it was @Home in the past. Good, healthy, simple Food. We eat what is served and ofcourse we know there are Veggies.
Upon request we do set up THE DINNER as an IDEA ACCELERATOR. As it is the ultimate proving ground for an entrepreneur's ideas, ideas are 'tasted' and tested. The other dinner guests are professionals who will serve as sparring partners for the entrepreneur, about his or her concept, and the most effective route to market. The backgrounds of the professionals are relevant for the idea, but the perspectives from which they come are a combination of both the expected and the unexpected! Direct feedback, suggestions for sharpening and fine-tuning, proposals for combining strengths, or completely new initiatives. Anything can arise during The Dinner. The other guests share in the passion of the entrepreneur, being allowed to take an affectionate look, as it were, into the 'cradle' of the newborn idea. The unique and diverse composition of the group creates a kind of Wikipedia brought to life.
